Fasting Guidelines  

 

21 DAYS FASTING SCHEDULE

WEEK 1 | NO MEAT, NO VEGETARIAN MEAT SUBSTITUTES, and NO SWEETS

This includes anything that swims, flies, walks or crawls. No veggie substitutes such as tofu, veggie burgers, veggie sausages, or veggie grillers, with the addition of no sugar. No cakes, candies, sweetened cereal, sugar for coffee, teas or other drinks, or sweet snacks. You can drink 100% fruit juices.  Make sure you read the labels to ensure that the drink is 100% fruit juice with no sugar added. Anyone can participate in this level of fasting including diabetics, women who are pregnant or nursing, small children, and the elderly.

 

WEEK 2 | NO MEATS, NO VEGETARIAN MEAT SUBSTITUTES, NO SWEETS, and NO JUNK FOOD

This includes everything from week 1 along with no junk food: nachos, chips, pretzels, french fries, pizza, popcorn, coffee and the like. Anyone can participate in this level of fasting including diabetics, women who are pregnant or nursing, small children, and the elderly.

WEEK 3 & WEEK 4 | NO MEATS, NO VEGETARIAN MEAT SUBSTITUTES, NO SWEETS, NO JUNK FOOD, AND ONE MEAL A DAY

This includes everything from weeks 1-2 along with one meal a day.  Most people pick a meal that they can eat with the whole family such as dinner but remember only ONE MEAL. If you wake up and put a piece of fruit in your mouth, keep on eating! That's your one meal for the day! This level of fasting is not recommended for those on medication, small children, women who are pregnant or nursing, diabetics, or the elderly.
